Assumption of Risk

Participation in basketball training, games, clinics, and related physical activities provided by Orlando Hoop Schoolinvolves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, heat-related illnesses, and other physical injuries or health complications. By enrolling in any program or event organized by Orlando Hoop School, all participants and/or their legal guardians voluntarily acknowledge and accept all known and unknown risks associated with participation.
Orlando Hoop School maintains a commitment to safety by providing experienced coaching, enforcing age-appropriate instruction, and following standard safety protocols. However, the academy cannot eliminate all risks, and by choosing to participate, individuals accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from their involvement.

Medical Authorization and Liability Waiver

In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency, Orlando Hoop School and its authorized staff are permitted to take any action necessary to protect the participant’s health and safety. This includes contacting emergency medical services, securing transportation to a medical facility, and authorizing treatment as recommended by licensed healthcare professionals.
By participating in any Orlando Hoop School activity, the participant and/or legal guardian agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the academy, its coaches, directors, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliated facilities from any and all liability, claims, damages, or expenses—including attorney fees—arising out of participation in the academy’s programs. This waiver applies regardless of whether the injury or incident is due to negligence, equipment failure, or unforeseen circumstances.

Media Release and Use of Likeness

To promote its athletes and programs, Orlando Hoop School may capture photos, videos, and audio recordings of players during practices, games, events, or training sessions. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, and commercial purposes across digital platforms, including social media, websites, advertisements, and printed materials.
By enrolling in Orlando Hoop School programs, participants and/or guardians grant the academy full permission to use the player’s name, image, likeness, voice, and performance without compensation, time limits, or need for additional consent. All media content created by or for Orlando Hoop School is the exclusive property of the academy and may be used in perpetuity.
